Texas Health Resources is seeking an Admissions Specialist I to welcome patients, collect demographics, verify benefits and assist with pre-certifications. You will communicate clearly, resolve inquiries, and navigate insurance processes to maximize reimbursement while upholding high reliability standards.

Role requires empathy, strong data entry and Epic/Office software proficiency, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 2 Years Professional office/healthcare experience preferred.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required.

Responsabilités

• Welcome patients and families on arrival, setting the tone for the visit.
• Gather demographic information to ensure electronic health record integrity.
• Identify network coverage and obtain/validate benefits and pre-certification.
• Educate patients/families on applicable legal and compliance documents.
• Explain financial obligations and prepare estimates for co-pays and balances.
• Ensure MSPQ, IMM, ABN and Non-Coverage checks are completed accurately.
• Stay compliant with regulations and maintain reliable systems and policies.
• Maintain daily Epic work queue and personal scorecard dashboard.
• Communicate effectively about insurance plans and potential non-coverage implications.
• Participate in meetings, process improvements and special projects.
