ESNEFT in Ipswich is seeking an enthusiastic Administrator to support the MDT Cancer Team, ensuring smooth administrative processes and accurate data capture for suspected and diagnosed cancer patients.

You will track patient pathways from referral through diagnostics and treatment, input COSD and national audit data (NBCA, BAUS, NLCA), and provide support to the Cancer Services staff. This is a fixed-term role until 30 June 2027 and is based at Ipswich Hospital.

Job overview

We are looking for a vibrant, confident person to join the team to help deliver a high quality service in the MDT Team at Colchester and Ipswich
Hospital.

Main duties of the job

To work closely with all members of the Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) across all specialties to assist
with the active pathway management of all suspected and diagnosed cancer patients that are referred
into the Trust
To assist in the tracking of the patient’s pathway, from referral, through diagnostics, treatment
planning and treatment, highlighting any potential delays in the pathway and ensuring accurate data
collection to support the process.
To provide effective administrative support to ensure smooth facilitation and co-ordination of multi
disciplinary team meetings (MDTs) on behalf of MDT Lead and Coordinators.

To assist in the accurate and complete data collection and input of cancer pathway investigations,
COSD data and national audit datasets, such as NBCA, BAUS and NLCA

To provide assistance and support to other staff within the Cancer Services team.
