Job summary

ESNEFT in Colchester is seeking an organised Administration Support to join the Gynaecology team. You will arrange pre-operative assessments, respond to queries by phone and email, and support the admissions process, helping patients move smoothly through their care.

You will be the main point of contact for patients, work with the Admissions Clerk and clinical colleagues, and handle confidential information in a busy NHS service.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs or equivalent at A to C Grade to include maths and English.
  • Proven experience in a similar role Band 2 or equivalent.
  • Experience in healthcare administration or patient bookings would be helpful.

Job overview

We are looking for an organised and approachable Administration Support to join our Gynaecology team. You will help patients move through their care by arranging pre-operative assessments, responding to queries and supporting the admissions process.

You will be a key point of contact for patients by telephone and email. You will also work closely with the Admissions Clerk and clinical colleagues to keep bookings and patient information accurate and up to date.

We are looking for someone who communicates with warmth and professionalism, pays close attention to detail and can manage competing tasks in a busy service. You will need to be comfortable using electronic systems, handling confidential information and working as part of a team. Experience in healthcare administration or patient bookings would be helpful, but your ability to learn and provide a reliable service matters just as much.

Qualifications
  • At least 3 GCSEs or equivalent at A to C Grade to include maths and English
Experience

  • Practical experience of working in a clinical support role
