Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Patient Liaison Officer for Sarum Road Hospital in Winchester. The 12-month fixed-term, part-time role (22.5 hours/week) offers a salary up to £27,000 FTE per year.

You will handle self-pay enquiries, provide information and pricing, and book appointments, ensuring high-quality service within the Marketing department.

Qualifications

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Customer service experience across telephone, written and face-to-face channels.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Convert self-pay enquiries and consultations to self-pay procedures against pre-agreed targets.
• Provide timely and accurate information to potential self-pay patients and NEC contacts.
• Facilitate access times and information required for patients to convert to a procedure.
• Influence patients to choose Circle Health Group for their procedure.
• Provide pre-consultation information and indicative pricing to NEC and patients to maximise conversion.
• Book self-pay patients into clinic appointments.
• Comply with mandatory training and development requirements.

Salary: Up to £27,000.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Sarum Road Hospital in Winchester is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Patient Liaison Officer to join their team of staff in the Marketing department.

This is a part time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.Flexible working is essential and additional hours may be requested.

Duties of this role include:

• You convert appropriate self-pay enquiries and consultations to self-pay procedures within Circle Health Group against pre-agreed targets.
• You ensure a quality service for potential self-pay patients including the accurate and timely response to self-pay enquiries from patients, consultants, medical secretaries and the National Enquiry Centre (NEC).
• You facilitate necessary access times and information required for patients to convert to procedure.
• You appropriately influence patients to choose Circle Health Group for their procedure.
• You provide pre-consultation information and indicative pricing accurately and promptly to the NEC and to patients that have enquired directly to the hospital/self-pay office to maximise conversion to appointment.
• You book appropriate self-pay patients into a suitable clinic appointment.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Customer service using telephone, written and face-to-face communications.
• Working within service performance standards.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
