Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Elective Care Hub Officer to support patient access, liaise with patients and carers, and help maintain accurate waiting lists.

The role emphasizes strong communication, IT literacy (including TrakCare knowledge), and the ability to manage a varied schedule with occasional weekend/evening work. This Band 3 NHS position offers valuable hospital experience in Gloucestershire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent and GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Competence in IT systems (ECDL or equivalent).
• Understanding and respect of Data Protection policies.
• Able to organise, prioritise and manage own workload without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential administrative support to influence patient bookings and care decisions.
• Act as a conduit between patients and services to progress treatment plans.
• Knowledge of TrakCare would be an advantage; full training will be provided.
• Hours vary; some Saturday/evening work; up to 37.5 hours per week with flexible working.
