Job summary

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool is seeking a Band 3 Patient Care Advisor to join the Patient Access Centre on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week).

You will provide frontline admin support, book outpatient appointments, register referrals, record clinical information and handle patients by phone, while maintaining confidentiality and delivering a high-quality service. The role requires excellent communication, IT and data input skills to support NHS targets.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent required.
• ECDL or equivalent experience.
• Experience with accurate and timely data entry.
• Good IT skills and ability to operate PAS system and internal software.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, relatives and colleagues.
• Book outpatient appointments and register referrals within target times.
• Record clinical information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Work in a centralised Patient Access Centre and cross-cover as needed.
• Assist in capacity & demand scheduling to meet NHS targets and deadlines.
