Job summary

University Hospitals Of Leicester NHS Trust invites applications for a full-time Pathway Co-ordinator in Dermatology at our St Peter's Health Centre site in Leicester. You will oversee the flow of patients through the outpatients department and handle preparation of medical notes, and booking/cancelling appointments.

An exciting opportunity for a pathway coordinator has opened up within Dermatology

The Dermatology Admin team at UHL are looking for a full time Pathway co-ordinator to work Monday to Friday at our new site St Peter's Health Centre Leicester. This is a varied and interesting role and you will be responsible for the flow of patients through the outpatients department and the preparation of medical notes, booking and cancelling of appointments.

You will also be working very closely with the Dermatology consultants and nurse specialists. You must possess excellent communication skills, working with deadlines and accurate keyboard skills are essential qualities we are looking for.

• To register new patient referral
• To be responsible for giving out referrals to relevant consultants for grading.
• To be responsible for ensuring patients are put on to relevant consultant's waiting list and appropriate letters are sent out in keeping with Trust Policy.
• To be responsible for liaising with consultants for urgent appointments.
• To be aware of any overseas visitor or private patients that are referred and notifying relevant department.
