Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in England seeks a Programme Delivery Manager for the East Hub Pathology Service to oversee a major transformation across the pathology network. Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
• Recognised project or programme management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development in programme, project or service improvement methods.
• Postgraduate qualification in management, improvement, leadership or related field.
• Formal training in improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, QI methods).
• Change management qualification or formal change methodology training.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate defined transition and integration workstreams supporting cross-site pathology service alignment, pathway standardisation and implementation of the agreed operating model.
• Support workforce and organisational change workstreams by maintaining structured trackers, risk registers and readiness plans linked to change activity.
• Organise and facilitate cross-site and multi-professional working groups and workshops to support agreement and implementation of standardised processes and procedures.
• Support mobilisation and readiness planning for phased hub implementation including readiness reviews and action tracking.
• Support programme delivery and readiness activity associated with digital and LIMS implementation across hub sites.
• Track and co-ordinate readiness actions including SOP updates, workflow redesign, training requirements and operational dependencies.
