Job summary

FRONTrunner Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Portable Appliance Tester (PAT) for our client covering the Luton to Milton Keynes area. You will test portable appliances on large commercial sites and ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will typically visit 1 to 2 sites per day, with overtime opportunities and a potential bonus for additional visits. A clean UK driving licence and 2377 PAT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must reside in or near the Luton to Milton Keynes area.
• Completion of a C&G 2377 PAT course is required.
• Experience in portable appliance testing needed.
• Full UK driving licence required.

My client is a well‑respected electrical compliance and testing company with over 40 years of experience, servicing the UK for a range of well‑known customers. The company is NICEIC, CHAS, Safe Contractor and BAFE compliant and places strong emphasis on quality and staying ahead of regulatory changes.

Role Overview

Portable Appliance Tester (PAT) – responsible for testing portable appliances on large commercial sites across the Luton to Milton Keynes area.

Key Responsibilities

• Test portable appliances on large commercial sites.
• Visit 1 to 2 sites per day; bonus for visiting a third site.
• Work within the Luton area and towards Milton Keynes.

Salary and Benefits

• £27,000 basic salary (realistic OTE of £38‑40,000).
• On‑target earnings bonus per test after daily targets are met (15p, 25p or 35p).
• Travel pay.
• Company share ownership scheme after 12 months.
• Bonus for visiting three or more sites per day.
