Job summary

FRONTrunner Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a PAT tester to perform portable appliance testing on large commercial sites. You will travel within a 30-mile radius of Doncaster and typically visit 1–2 sites per day, with occasional 3-site days.

The role offers a base salary of 27,000 with a realistic OTE of 38,000–40,000, along with a bonus scheme based on items tested, travel pay, and potential share ownership after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Experience performing PAT testing on commercial sites.
• Ability to travel within 30-mile radius of Doncaster.
• Familiar with electrical regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Test portable appliances on large commercial sites.
• Visit 1–2 sites per day (3 sites occasionally).
• Cover a 30 mile radius around Doncaster.

My client is a very well respected electrical compliance and testing company that has been established for well over 40 years, they cover all over the UK and can claim a lot of very well known companies and organisations as customers. They pride themselves on their engineers’ skills as well as always being one step ahead of the ever changing electrical regulations. They are NICEIC, CHAS, Safe Contractor and BAFE compliant and take their service very seriously to make sure their clients always come back in the future.

What you will be doing:

• Testing portable appliances on large commercial sites
• Going to 1 or 2 sites per day – extra bonuses if you have to go to a 3rd site that day which isn’t very often
• Covering a 30 mile radius around Doncaster

Salary and Benefits for a PAT Tester:

• 27k basic salary – realistic OTE of 38-40k OTE
• Bonus scheme for the amount of items tested per day–15p, 25p or 35p per test after daily targets are hit

• Company share ownership scheme after 12 months
• Bonuses if you go to 3 or more sites per day
