Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious luxury hotel in North Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join a talented pastry team. Qualifications

• Experience as Pastry Sous Chef or similar
• Passion for pastry and attention to detail
• Experience in a high-quality, busy kitchen environment
• Strong technical pastry skills with a creative approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Proactive, organised and hands-on approach
• Ambition to develop and progress within a luxury hospitality environment

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting high-quality pastry, desserts and baked goods to exacting standards
• Supporting the development of menus, new dishes and seasonal specials
• Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation across all pastry production
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient pastry section
• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the pastry operation
• Supervising and supporting junior members of the pastry team
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, health and safety are maintained
