Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious luxury hotel in North Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Pastry Sous Chef. The role offers £40,000 per annum plus service charge, with temporary accommodation and relocation support.

• Prepare and present high-quality pastry, desserts and baked goods to exacting standards.

• Ensure consistent quality and presentation across pastry production.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient pastry section.
• Support Head Chef with day-to-day pastry operations.
• Supervise and support junior pastry team members.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting high-quality pastry, desserts and baked goods to exacting standards
• Supporting the development of menus, new dishes and seasonal specials
• Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation across all pastry production
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient pastry section
• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the pastry operation
• Supervising and supporting junior members of the pastry team
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, health and safety are maintained

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Pastry Sous Chef, Senior Pastry Chef or similar
• A genuine passion for pastry and a keen eye for detail
• Experience working within a high-quality, busy kitchen environment
• Strong technical pastry skills and a creative approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive, organised and hands-on approach
