Job summary
Ardencote Manor | Hiddenwell Luxury Wellness Retreat is seeking a Pastry Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Warwick. This full-time permanent role offers 45 hours per week with shifts from 7:00am–3:00pm, 10:00am–6:00pm or 3:00pm–11:00pm.
Salary is £34,000 per annum, with visa sponsorship not available. You will lead and support the pastry team, maintain high standards for pastries and desserts, manage stock and assist with rotas to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
Qualifications
- Must be organised with strong hygiene and kitchen operations knowledge.
- Commitment to high pastry standards and teamwork.
- Passionate about pastry with ability to lead in a busy kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the pastry team, training and motivating staff.
- Ensure all pastries, desserts and dishes meet quality standards.
- Assist with stock control, ordering and monthly stocktakes to minimise waste.
- Support with rotas and shift coverage to ensure appropriate staffing.
- Set high standards for presentation, cleanliness and teamwork.
- Communicate with Head Chefs and managers to ensure smooth operation.
