Ardencote Manor | Hiddenwell Luxury Wellness Retreat is seeking a Pastry Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Warwick. This full-time permanent role offers 45 hours per week with shifts from 7:00am–3:00pm, 10:00am–6:00pm or 3:00pm–11:00pm.

Salary is £34,000 per annum, with visa sponsorship not available. You will lead and support the pastry team, maintain high standards for pastries and desserts, manage stock and assist with rotas to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the pastry team, training and motivating staff.
Ensure all pastries, desserts and dishes meet quality standards.
Assist with stock control, ordering and monthly stocktakes to minimise waste.
Support with rotas and shift coverage to ensure appropriate staffing.
Set high standards for presentation, cleanliness and teamwork.
Communicate with Head Chefs and managers to ensure smooth operation.

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Pastry Sous Chef to join our kitchen team

What You’ll Do

Leading & supporting the team, helping supervise, training and motivating the kitchen team, delegating duties effectively and step up to support daily kitchen operations when required
Delivering exceptional quality, making sure every pastry, dessert and dish leaving the kitchen meets our agreed standards, while contributing ideas to keep our pastry and dessert offering fresh and exciting
Keep the kitchen running smoothly, supporting the ordering, stock control and monthly stocktakes, helping maintaining the right stock levels while minimising waste
Support daily operations, assisting with rotas and shift cover to ensure the kitchen is appropriately staffed for the needs of the business
Set high standards, leading by example and help create a positive, professional kitchen environment where high standards of presentation, cleanliness and teamwork are part of every shift
Communicating & collaborating, working closely with the Head Chefs, Restaurant Managers and senior team through daily briefs and regular meetings to ensure a smooth operation

What We’re Looking For

Must be someone who is passionate about pastry, proud of your standards and confident supporting a busy kitchen team
Must be organised, dependable and comfortable taking responsibility when senior chefs are absent, with a strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety and kitchen operations
Must enjoy being part of a team that cares about creating consistently exceptional food and memorable experiences

Additional Information

45 hours per week – Full-Time permanent position
Working 5 days out of 7 per week (including weekends and bank holidays, you will need to be flexible to the business needs)
Shift Pattern: 7:00am-3:00pm 10:00am-6:00pm 3:00pm-11:00pm
Salary: £34,000 per annum
