Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in Turners Hill, near East Grinstead, is seeking a Commis Pastry Chef to join the busy pastry brigade. You will work with a team of 16 chefs and 5 kitchen porters, helping to produce menu items for our three Rosette AG's Restaurant and two Rosette Reflections Restaurant.

The role offers 40 hours per week across flexible shifts, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, with opportunities to learn and develop rosette level dishes using fresh local ingredients.

Qualifications

• Quality experience in a fresh food environment.
• Desire to gain experience and passion for learning to create rosette standard dishes from fresh local ingredients.
• Ability to work flexible shifts. 40 hours per week over 5 days.
• Experience within a quality hotel kitchen environment.
• Team player with an ability and desire to contribute to the team’s success.
• Excellent eye for detail and able to deliver consistent standards.
