Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, part of The Alexander Hotel Collection, is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie. You will produce food for all service periods across restaurant, brasserie and banqueting, while maintaining rosette standards and supporting menu planning.

This role requires 40-hour weeks with overtime and relocation flexibility. Join a 5 Red Star quality operation with spa and dining venues, offering staff discounts, uniform, parking, and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate during a trial shift the ability to produce plated dishes to a rosette standard.
• Ability to work across multiple menus and sections of the kitchen.
• Willingness to work 5 shifts per week (40 hours) with paid overtime.
• Live locally or be able to relocate with own transport.

Responsabilités

• Produce food for all service periods in Restaurant, Brasserie, Fine dining, Bar food, Room Service and Afternoon tea.
• Prepare, produce and serve food to the required standard in a timely and efficient manner.
• Receive and store all relevant food and non-food items.
• Assist Chef de Partie with daily menu planning and section duties as required.
• Support Chef de Partie with preparation, cooking and service of menu items for restaurant, afternoon tea and banqueting menus.
• Deputise for Chef de Partie in their absence and supervise the section when needed.
• Promote teamwork and effective communication with colleagues across departments.
• Carry out daily kitchen cleaning duties and follow a clean-as-you-go policy.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety guidelines.

£28,000 per annum + monthly service charge payment

The Role

• Producing food for all service periods in the Restaurant, as well as Brasserie, Fine dining, Bar food, Room Service and Afternoon tea
• Preparation, production and service of food to the standard required in a timely and efficient manner
• Be responsible for receiving and storing of all relevant food and non-food items
• Assist Chef de Partie with daily menu planning and composition as and when required for your section.
• Supporting the Chef de Partie with the preparation, cooking and service of menu items for restaurant, afternoon tea, as well as banqueting menus
• To deputise for the Chef de Partie in their absence as and when required including supervision of the section
• Practice and promote effective teamwork and communication amongst your direct work colleagues and colleagues in other departments
• Carry out daily cleaning duties within the kitchen as directed by the Chef de Partie, Head/Sous Chef in addition to following a 'clean as you go' policy
• Ensure compliance with inhouse HACCP and food hygiene, health and safety systems to ensure compliance.
• Completing duties in a culture and with an attitude of always striving to exceed standards to promote improvements and raise the quality of feedback from all diners across the hotel

Requirements

• Working 5 shifts per week 40 hrs per week with paid authorised overtime
• Demonstrate during a trial shift the practical ability to be able to produce plated dishes to a rosette standard
• Hold the experience to manage the multi menu requirements
• Live locally or have the ability to relocate to the area with own transportation
