Job summary

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is seeking a Pastry Chef for a prestigious Cambridge college, offering 37.5 hours weekly with a fortnightly rota and alternate weekends off. You will work on the Pastry Section, delivering high-quality menus for restaurant and functions, and support the Head and Sous Chefs in busy services.

Candidates should have prior pastry experience in quality hotels, colleges or restaurants, with fresh produce cooking at scale; NVQ level or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• Pastry chef with experience in quality hotel, college or restaurant.
• Experience cooking with fresh produce to large volumes.
• NVQ level qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Pastry Section producing meals for restaurant and functions.
• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in each service.
• Manage and order your own section.
• Work a mix of early and late shifts on rota.
