Job Opportunity: Pastry / Chef de Partie at Searcys

Searcys is seeking a talented Pastry / Chef de Partie to join our team at the prestigious Kings Fund venue in Central London.

The ideal candidate will possess a creative flair, keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exquisite and flawless pastry dishes, while supporting other sections in the kitchen.

As a Pastry / Chef de Partie, you will be an ambassador for the Searcys brand, creating memorable culinary experiences. We are looking for an experienced pastry chef who is passionate about crafting exceptional dishes.

Venue Description

Located near Oxford Street and Regent Street, No.11 Cavendish Square offers airy, light-filled event spaces suitable for meetings, conferences, award dinners, and seasonal parties. The venue also features a modern cafe bar for casual visits.

Working Hours and Schedule

Work 5 days over 7, totaling 45 hours per week. The venue hosts multiple events across various floors, requiring adaptability and support to the Head Chef in managing daily operations and mentoring junior staff.

Salary

Up to £40,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the pastry section and support other kitchen sections.
  • Monitor standards daily and report concerns to the Head Chef.
  • Liaise with the Head Chef and act in their absence.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH regulations, etc.
  • Maintain staff presentation standards.
  • Ensure services are ready on time and meet quality standards.
  • Adjust staffing levels according to business needs.
  • Manage budget and food purchasing.
  • Follow personnel procedures in line with Investors in People standards.
  • Adhere to legal requirements and perform other reasonable tasks as directed by Senior Management.
  • Organize and prioritize workload effectively, work under pressure, and collaborate as part of a team. Experience in high-end or Michelin-starred environments is desirable.
