Job summary

Big Mamma Group is seeking a Pastry Chef De Partie to join our UK team. You will prepare desserts from scratch, oversee pastry operations and train junior pastry staff while upholding our high standards of quality and hygiene.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a competitive hourly rate and benefits across our UK & Ireland restaurants. You will work evenings and weekends as part of a dynamic, hospitality-focused squad.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pastry, leading a pastry team in a restaurant environment.
• Hands-on dessert skills and knowledge of Italian pastries preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be working in the pastry section to prepare desserts from scratch.
• Onboard and train new pastry chefs, coaching and supporting the team.
• Work closely with kitchen management to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and organisation in the pastry section.
• Uphold Big Mamma quality standards and recipes.
• Bring positive energy and a problem solving mindset to every shift.
• Help create the best moment of our guests’ day.

We’re now looking for a passionate Pastry Chef De Partie to join our team!

Your Mission

As part of the Big Mamma Kitchen team, your mission will be to:

• be working in the pastry section to prepare our delicious desserts from scratch, from giant lemon pie to homemade gelato.

• Onboard and train new pastry chefs, coaching and supporting the team

• Work closely with kitchen management to ensure smooth operations

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and organisation in the pastry section

• Uphold Big Mamma quality standards and recipes

• Bring positive energy and a problem solving mindset to every shift

• Help create the best moment of our guests’ day

About You

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

• Big smile and passion for Italian food

• Great energy, proactive attitude and team spirit

• Expert knowledge of Italian desserts and pastry techniques

• Previous experience leading a pastry team in a restaurant environment

• Excellent teamwork, leadership and communication skills

• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
