Job summary

Big Mamma Group in the UK is seeking a passionate Pastry Chef to join the pastry section and craft desserts from scratch, including giant lemon pie and homemade gelato.

You will onboard and train new pastry staff, work closely with kitchen management, maintain hygiene standards, and uphold recipes and quality. A proactive leader with Italian dessert expertise is required; evenings and weekends shifts available.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Italian desserts and pastry techniques.
• Experience leading a pastry team in a restaurant setting.
• Excellent teamwork, leadership and communication skills.
• Flexible availability in evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Bake and prepare desserts from scratch in the pastry section.
• Onboard and train new pastry chefs, coaching and supporting the team.
• Coordinate with kitchen management for smooth operations.
• Maintain high hygiene, cleanliness and organisation in the pastry area.
• Uphold Big Mamma quality standards and recipes.
• Bring positive energy and a problem-solving mindset on every shift.
