Job description

The Barbary, located in the heart of Covent Garden, is on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team.

Our small space is bursting with the vibrant colours, flavours, sounds, and aromas of the cuisine of the North African Coast. Sitting up in the midst of the action at our kitchen counter, the atmosphere here remains at the forefront of London’s dining scene.

Responsibilities
  1. Menu Development: Passionate about North African and Southern European cuisines, with experience in bread and dessert offerings. Previous experience with our flavours and techniques is essential.
  2. Pastry Expertise: Skilled in both sweet and savoury pastries, responsible for developing and producing our bread and dessert menus.
  3. Leadership and Training: Lead and train chefs in the pastry section, ensuring high standards and sharing best practices.
  4. Administrative Duties: Handle costing, ordering, and support kitchen maintenance, with a good understanding of kitchen financials.
