Job summary

South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College in North Ferriby invites applications for a Pastoral Support Officer. The role involves supporting students with behavioural and learning needs, under the guidance of the Assistant Headteacher, within the pastoral team.

This permanent, full-time post offers up to 37 hours per week during term time, plus additional hours for meetings, and a salary of £25,100.95 per year, paid in 12 equal installments, with DBS clearance and eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth services or secondary school settings, or mentoring/ guiding young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and supervision of students with Emotional, Behavioural Learning Difficulties identified as a need.
• Work with line managers to implement and supervise individualised work programmes for vulnerable students.
• Support students in Isolation, Reflection, Horizon or personalised programmes at school or externally.
• Pastoral support is central; opportunity to work in education and mentor students.
