Job summary

South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College in North Ferriby invites applications for a Pastoral Support Officer. The role involves supporting students with behavioural and learning needs, under the guidance of the Assistant Headteacher, within the pastoral team.

This permanent, full-time post offers up to 37 hours per week during term time, plus additional hours for meetings, and a salary of £25,100.95 per year, paid in 12 equal installments, with DBS clearance and eligibility to work in the UK.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Pastoral Team as a Pastoral Support Officer at South Hunsley School and Sixth Form.

The working hours are up to 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday during the school term. You will also be paid for an additional 44.5 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development that sits outside your normal working hours. You will also be required to work some days during the school holidays. Your actual salary will be £25,100.95 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.

What does the role involve?

Each day you will work under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher to provide support and supervision of students with Emotional, Behavioural Learning Difficulties were identified as a need. You will also work with line managers to implement and supervise individualised work programmes for vulnerable students and students placed either in Isolation, Reflection, Horizon, or on a personalised programme of support, at school, at college or alternative providers.
