Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Pastoral Support Assistant to join a mainstream school in Stone. The role starts immediately and runs until the end of the academic year.

You will promote pupils' personal development, support attendance and behaviour, and build positive relationships to help pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn. A calm, safeguarding-conscious approach is essential, with a DBS Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for us to arrange one).
• Classroom or youth-work experience is helpful; calm communication and a willingness to learn are essential.
• Sound safeguarding knowledge and the judgement to put it into practice.
• Can commit to a full time role
