Qualifications

• Must have pastoral or youth work experience in an educational setting.
• Demonstrates emotional intelligence and professional confidence.
• Able to lead structured interventions around behaviour and mental wellbeing.
• Resilient, calm under pressure, and capable of handling difficult conversations.
• Committed to inclusion, high expectations, and student success.

Responsibilities

• Act as a highly visible, approachable presence around school to promote high behaviour standards.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with students and families.
• Monitor and improve attendance, including first-day calls and home visits.
• Deliver or coordinate targeted interventions for emotional and behavioural needs.
• Work with external agencies and lead multi-agency meetings.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and support vulnerable learners.
