Job summary

Heron Hall Academy in Enfield is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead to provide daily support to pupils, addressing behavioural, emotional, social and attendance concerns while acting as the first point of contact for parents and carers.

You will work with Heads of Year, teaching staff and external agencies to promote restorative approaches, maintain pastoral records and contribute to safeguarding processes in a safe, inclusive school culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pastoral care or pupil support in a secondary school setting, with a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, inclusion and SEND.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to pupils, responding to behavioural, emotional, social and attendance concerns.
• Act as the first point of contact for parents/carers, resolving concerns and fostering strong home-school relationships.
• Support pupils facing challenges including SEND, EAL or other barriers to learning, while maintaining pastoral records and contributing to safeguarding processes.
• Collaborate with Heads of Year, teaching staff and external agencies to deliver restorative approaches and targeted interventions, fostering a safe, respectful and inclusive school culture.
