Job summary

Foundry Lane Primary School is seeking an experienced Pastoral Manager to lead safeguarding and pastoral provision. You will coordinate safeguarding, attendance, and family engagement across the school, working with staff, families, and external agencies to promote wellbeing and high expectations for all pupils.

The role includes leading multi-agency work, developing early help strategies, and supporting Looked After Children where applicable.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and priorities.
• Experience working with children and families in educational or support settings.
• Safeguarding knowledge or training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding and child protection across the school and act as first point of contact for safeguarding concerns.
• Coordinate and lead pastoral support, early help processes and family engagement.
• Monitor attendance data and liaise with families and external agencies to improve outcomes.
• Develop and oversee parent involvement and provide workshops and support programmes.
• Lead multi-agency work and contribute to safeguarding policy development.
