Job summary

R.E.A.L. Independent Schools in Mansfield is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead to support wellbeing, attendance and safeguarding, shaping a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, parents and external agencies to remove barriers to learning, deliver 1:1 interventions, and help run student voice activities and whole-school wellbeing initiatives. This permanent, full-time, term-time-only role offers a rewarding chance to impact young people

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant area.
• English and Maths at Level 2.
• Extensive experience in a pastoral or wellbeing role.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ASC or mental health needs.
• Strong safeguarding understanding in education.
• Calm, reflective and solution-focused in challenging situations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience engaging with parents, carers and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily pastoral and wellbeing support to students.
• Coordinate conflict resolution, mediation and de-briefs.
• Deliver 1:1 interventions and tutorial support.
• Support attendance, behaviour and safeguarding processes.
• Facilitate student voice activities and whole-school wellbeing initiatives.
• Record, monitor and analyse pastoral data to inform programmes.
• Provide cover and line management when required.
