Job summary

The Links Academy is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Leader to work with children and families in a SEMH and SEND setting. You will mentor pupils, support attendance and wellbeing, and collaborate with school staff and external agencies to improve outcomes.

We value safeguarding, inclusivity and high aspirations for every child, with a focus on building strong relationships and a supportive, restorative school culture.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people, especially SEMH/SEND.
• Ability to build positive relationships quickly and effectively.
• Proactive, organised and able to use initiative.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high aspirations for every child.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support and mentoring for children.
• Work with families to reduce barriers to education.
• Support attendance, behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Liaise with social care, health professionals and other agencies.
• Promote the academy's restorative and relational approach.
• Contribute to a positive, nurturing and ambitious culture.
