Job summary

Knutsford Academy is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead to support wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and safeguarding of our students. You will work with families, staff and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and help each young person feel safe and able to thrive.

The role involves promoting inclusion, building strong relationships with parents and professionals, and contributing to a positive safeguarding culture across the school.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people in an educational, pastoral, youth work, safeguarding, social care or similar setting.
• A sound understanding of safeguarding, attendance, behaviour management and the barriers that can impact student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Champion Student Wellbeing and promote positive mental health and resilience.
• Support attendance, behaviour and engagement with students, families and staff.
• Promote inclusion and support vulnerable students to ensure equal opportunities.
• Contribute to safeguarding culture by identifying concerns and maintaining accurate records.
