King Edward VI Academy is seeking a proactive pastoral lead to support the Head of House, join the safeguarding team, and implement targeted interventions to improve student wellbeing and attendance. You will work with parents, carers and teachers to develop personalised support plans and monitor progress.

You will contribute to a calm, safe learning environment, reintegrate students after absence or suspension, and ensure compliance with child protection and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering pastoral support interventions in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Ability to plan and coordinate Pastoral Support Plans with measurable targets.

Responsabilités

• Lead Pastoral Care for one of the Academy Houses.
• Support attendance policies and promote good attendance.
• Deliver 1:1 or small group interventions to improve wellbeing, attendance or behaviour.
• Coordinate Pastoral Support Plans with staff, parents and carers.
• Reintegrate students returning after suspension or difficulty.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and actions.
