Teaching Personnel is recruiting Pastoral Classroom Support Assistants to work across SEN and SEMH schools in Skelmersdale. This rewarding role supports pupils academically and emotionally, helping them overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, regulate emotions, and engage positively in class.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, foster positive relationships with pupils, support emotional wellbeing and behaviour strategies, and assist teachers with interventions.

Qualifications

  • Has experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
  • Is patient, caring, and resilient.
  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Can support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Backgrounds in education, support work, youth work, care, coaching, or mentoring are welcomed.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Pastoral Classroom Support Assistants to work across a variety of SEN and SEMH schools in the Skelmersdale area.

This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people both academically and emotionally. You will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, regulate emotions, and engage positively within the classroom environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
