Job summary

Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated Pastoral Classroom Support Assistants to work across SEN and SEMH settings in the Skelmersdale area. You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, build trusting relationships, and help learners overcome barriers to education while promoting wellbeing.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Pastoral Classroom Support Assistants to work across a variety of SEN and SEMH schools in the Skelmersdale area.

This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people both academically and emotionally. You will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, regulate emotions, and engage positively within the classroom environment.

The Role:

• Providing classroom-based support on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Building positive relationships with pupils who may have SEN, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, or additional learning needs.
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
