Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking Pastoral & Behaviour Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools in Bolton and Salford.

Roles include one-to-one and small-group support, assisting with behaviour, attendance and student engagement, and contributing to a positive pastoral environment. The position offers opportunities on a temporary, long-term or permanent basis, with a competitive daily rate dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education, youth work or similar environments.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Confident with pupils who display challenging behaviour.
• Able to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Providing targeted support to pupils struggling with behaviour, attendance or engagement.
• Working with pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Supporting students within lessons and around the school.
• Building positive relationships and being a trusted member of the pastoral team.
• Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Supporting behaviour management and restorative approaches.
• Working closely with pastoral leaders, SENCOs and teaching staff.
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence.
