Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Passive Fire Protection Installer for planned works in social housing. The role is site-based in the Worcester area with daily travel, standard 39-hour weeks, and a pension plan.

You will install fire doors and perform remedial works, working in a respectful, professional team that values quality and safety. Requirements include NVQ Level 2 in Joinery or Passive Fire Protection and a full UK driving licence.

Job description

Location: Site based within Worcester area, therefore daily travel will be required.

Standard Hours: Monday- Friday 39 hours

This is an exciting opportunity for a Passive Fire Protection Installer to join Novus Property Solutions, planned works team providing high-quality Fire Door installation and remedial works within Social Housing tenanted properties.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• Experience installing fire doors and carrying out associated remedial works within a social housing environment.
• Previous experience working in social housing and engaging directly with tenants would be advantageous.
• Ability to work from job tickets and handheld devices on a daily basis.
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider contract team whilst managing your own workload and priorities.
• Successful candidates may be required to complete a practical skills assessment, including the installation of a fire door.Committed to maintaining Novus' high standards of health, safety, and quality at all times.
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Joinery, Carpentry, or Passive Fire Protection is essential.
• Knowledge and qualifications in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry, Joinery, or Passive Fire Protection
  • ASFP Passive Fire Protection Training
  • FIRAS Installer Assessment or BM TRADA Fire Door Installer Certification
  • IFE Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection
  • PASMA and IPAF certifications
• Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, and Manual Handling training are required. Where certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check
