Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Passive Fire Protection Installer to join our planned works team. You’ll install fire doors and carry out remedial works in social housing properties from Worcester-area sites, using handheld devices.

A full UK driving licence and a satisfactory DBS check are essential. We offer 39-hour weeks, weekly pay, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, a fleet van with fuel card, pension, tools and training, and a supportive planning team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or above in Joinery, Carpentry, or Passive Fire Protection is essential.
• Experience installing fire doors in a social housing environment.
• Excellent driving license and DBS clearance.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Install fire doors and remedial works within social housing properties.
• Work from job tickets and handheld devices on a daily basis.
• Coordinate with the wider contract team to manage workload.
• Complete any required practical skills assessments.

Location:Site based within Worcester area, therefore daily travel will be required.

Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours

This is an exciting opportunity for a Passive Fire Protection Installer to join Novus Property Solutions, planned works team providing high-quality Fire Door installation and remedial works within Social Housing tenanted properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Experience installing fire doors and carrying out associated remedial works within a social housing environment.
• Previous experience working in social housing and engaging directly with tenants would be advantageous.
• Ability to work from job tickets and handheld devices on a daily basis.
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider contract team whilst managing your own workload and priorities.
• Successful candidates may be required to complete a practical skills assessment, including the installation of a fire door.
• Committed to maintaining Novus' high standards of health, safety, and quality at all times.
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Joinery, Carpentry, or Passive Fire Protection is essential.
• Knowledge and qualifications in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry, Joinery, or Passive Fire Protection
    
  • ASFP Passive Fire Protection Training
  • FIRAS Installer Assessment or BM TRADA Fire Door Installer Certification
  • IFE Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection
  • PASMA and IPAF certifications
• Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, and Manual Handling training are required. Where certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check
