Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is seeking an Estimator (Passive Fire) in Kent to drive pricing for bids. You will gather data from subcontractors and suppliers, verify project details, and help assemble the final tender submission with the programme team.

The role requires proven pricing experience, familiarity with passive fire works, and strong procurement/bid skills to ensure competitive, compliant tenders.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of producing commercial pricing.
• Experience with Passive Fire projects in main contractor or bid context.
• Pricing NEC/JCT contracts experience.
• Understanding of procurement processes including framework bids.
• Knowledge of system estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Provide information for inclusion in written bid submissions.
• Liaise with subcontractors/suppliers for quotations on specialist elements.
• Visit prospective projects to verify information in contract docs and obtain more details for tendering.
• Coordinate with the Programme Manager to assemble the final tender programme.
• Attend pre-contract and client meetings during the tender process.
