Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd in Manchester is hiring a Passive Fire Estimator on a permanent basis, with hybrid working. The role spans QS responsibilities across public sector projects, delivering compliant, cost-effective fire protection solutions.

You will evaluate tender documents and drawings, prepare cost estimates for fire stopping, compartmentation, doors and barriers, obtain supplier quotations, and coordinate with clients and internal teams to meet project specs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience doing QS works.
• Proven experience working in the public sector.
• Knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping.

Responsibilities

As the Passive Fire Estimator, you will be:

• Evaluating tender documents, specifications, drawings, and fire safety requirements.
• Preparing cost estimates and pricing for passive fire protection works, including:
  • Fire stopping
  • Fire compartmentation
  • Fire doors
  • Cavity barriers
  • Fire protection to structural steel
  • Fire boarding and penetration sealing
• Obtaining and reviewing quotations from suppliers.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal departments to understand all specifications.

Passive Fire Estimator required experience:

• Minimum 4 years' experience doing QS works
• Proven experience working in the public sector
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping

As the Passive Fire Estimator, you will receive:
