Job summary

Structivus Ltd is recruiting an experienced Estimator to join its commercial team in the passive fire protection sector. You will deliver accurate, competitive quotations for doorsets and related products, supporting projects from enquiry through to handover.

Working closely with sales, commercial, and operations, you will ensure timely tender submissions, identify value engineering opportunities, and maintain rigorous document control across multiple live projects within the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience in passive fire or fire doorsets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong team player with proactive attitude.
• Advanced Excel skills: VLOOKUPs, formulas, Pivot Tables, data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed quotations for bespoke doorset packages and joinery items.
• Review tender documents and specifications for discrepancies or clarifications.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and present recommendations.
• Support customers with project-specific enquiries and technical queries.
• Maintain document control and navigate electronic filing systems/databases.
• Collaborate with sales to maximise tender opportunities and conversions.
• Attend internal project handover meetings to ensure successful transition to delivery.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss quotations, specifications and project requirements.
• Ensure quotations are returned within agreed timescales and deadlines.

Estimator - Passive Fire Protection

Our client is a rapidly growing and highly respected specialist within the passive fire protection sector. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their established commercial team.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Estimator with experience in doorsets, passive fire or related construction products to play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive quotations and supporting project success from enquiry through to handover.

You will work closely with sales, commercial, and operational teams, ensuring quotations are prepared accurately, on time, and in line with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed and accurate quotations for bespoke doorset packages, joinery products, and associated items.
• Review tender documentation and specifications, identifying any discrepancies, omissions, or opportunities for clarification.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and present recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support customers with project-specific enquiries and technical queries.
• Maintain effective document control and confidently navigate electronic filing systems and databases.
• Work collaboratively with the sales team to maximise tender opportunities and conversion rates.
• Attend internal project handover meetings to ensure successful transition of secured projects to the delivery team.
• Participate in client meetings when required to discuss quotations, specifications, and project requirements.
• Ensure all quotations are returned within agreed timescales and aligned with customer deadlines.
