Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Passive Fire Estimator for a permanent role in Manchester with hybrid working options. The position focuses on QS tasks across the public sector, evaluating tender documents and fire safety requirements, and delivering cost estimates for passive fire protection works.

Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years' QS experience, with proven public sector exposure and knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tender documents, specifications, drawings, and fire safety requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates and pricing for passive fire protection works, including fire stopping, fire compartmentation, fire doors, cavity barriers, and related protection.
• Obtain and review quotations from suppliers.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal departments to understand all specifications.

As the Passive Fire Estimator, you will be:

• Evaluating tender documents, specifications, drawings, and fire safety requirements.
• Preparing cost estimates and pricing for passive fire protection works, including:
• Fire stopping
• Fire compartmentation
• Fire doors
• Cavity barriers
• Fire protection to structural steel
• Fire boarding and penetration sealing
• Obtaining and reviewing quotations from suppliers.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal departments to understand all specifications.

Passive Fire Estimator required experience:

• Minimum 4 years' experience doing QS works
• Proven experience working in the public sector
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of fire doors and fire stopping
