What you will do

Parts & Service Advisor - Tipton Van Centre
up to 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday 08.30 - 18.00

Operating within the newly opened Van Centre, (Hobart Rd, DY4 9LE) you will be part of a team developing and sustaining superior performance in parts and service administration with face to face customer liaison.

Core Responsibilities:
Service:
  1. Ensure when working on the Front of House reception that customers are greeted professionally and with a friendly demeanor when booking in their vehicle, relaying back costs and information from their service and inspections etc.
  2. Updating the customer throughout with timelines and costs where applicable.
  3. Ensure that the service area is kept clean and tidy, and that equipment is in good condition reflecting the image of an efficient and modern Retail Dealer point.
  4. Ensure the Dealer point works to the criteria laid down in the Company Health and Safety policy.
Parts:
  1. Ensure customer orders are taken and supplied to the correct specification.
  2. Ensure that procedures are correctly carried out for the ordering of goods and their receipt.
  3. Maintain an efficient filing and retrieval system.
  4. Ensure that the parts area is kept clean and tidy, and that equipment is in good condition reflecting the image of an efficient and modern Retail Dealer point.
  5. Ensure the Dealer point works to the criteria laid down in the Company Health and Safety policy.
  6. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when must be worn.
General Duties:
  1. Work with the team to ensure a strong top team ethos.
  2. Support the development of character, skills, attitude and superior individual and team performance.
  3. Ensure that you conduct yourself in a business-like and professional manner.
  4. Assist with maintaining a clean and professional Service and Parts area.
  5. Attend any training or development activity that is made available.
  6. To be able to effectively communicate at all levels both written and verbally.
  7. To be able to develop or work in developing new or enhancing existing processes.
  8. To be able to adapt and take on new skills and approaches.
  9. To be able to competently use GDS and associated software & systems.
  10. To be able to competently use desktop PC and associated software & systems.
