Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Parts Assistant to join a busy, well-established team in Sutton Coldfield. You will support the day-to-day running of the parts department, manage stock records and process parts requests to keep technicians supplied efficiently.

This full-time role offers a salary of £28,000–£30,000 per year, Monday to Friday (8:00am–5:00pm), 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 28).

Qualifications

• Previous parts experience within a mechanical environment.
• Good administration and computer skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Parts ordering or stock control experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day running of the parts department.
• Process internal and external parts requests.
• Order and source parts when required.
• Receive, check and store incoming stock.
• Update internal systems and keep accurate parts records.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous parts experience gained within a mechanical environment. You could come from the motor trade, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery, material handling or a similar mechanical industry.

Working closely with the Parts Supervisor, the successful Parts Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the department, helping with parts administration, stock control and parts requests, while ensuring technicians and other departments receive the correct parts efficiently.

Parts Assistant Responsibilities
