Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Parts Controller to source, order and manage forklift parts. You will work with Service Controllers, Engineers and Sales teams to ensure timely availability and accurate stock control.

The role emphasizes organisation, attention to detail and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, with potential exposure to various equipment types and a dynamic workload.

Qualifications

• Experience in forklift, plant, automotive, agricultural or industrial parts.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ordering, receiving and distribution of forklift spare parts.
• Identify and source parts for various forklift makes/models.
• Handle parts enquiries from customers, engineers and internal teams.
• Prepare quotations and process sales and purchase orders.
• Maintain stock records and perform regular stock checks.
• Place replenishment orders and liaise with suppliers on availability/pricing/delivery.
• Arrange urgent parts deliveries to engineers/customers.
• Track backorders and update customers and engineers.
• Manage returns, warranty parts and damaged deliveries.
• Update parts/stock information in the ERP system.
• Maintain an organised parts warehouse.
• Support service/workshop teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensure invoices and delivery notes are accurate.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve parts-related queries.
