Job summary

Charlies Stores Ltd is hiring a Parts Assistant for the Ag & Turf Parts Department. You will book in daily stock orders and assist parts advisors to pick items for customers and internal orders, while delivering first-class customer service and supporting stocking duties.

The role involves working in a warehouse environment with opportunities to grow, training provided, and potential Saturday rota. Excellent pay and a friendly team atmosphere are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Ability to use standard computer applications; IBCOS Gold experience is an advantage.
• Forklift license would be advantageous; training will be provided.
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented approach to work and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure parts orders are ready for customer collection or courier delivery.
• Receive and check deliveries, book stock into system, locate in warehouse, or forward for orders.
• Load and unload vehicles (manual and forklift).
• Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse.
• Maintain control of stock levels and accuracy of stock.
• Complete relevant administration tasks as required.
• Manage showroom stock rotation and seasonal displays.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a Parts Assistant for our Ag & Turf Parts Department. You will be responsible for booking in daily stock orders and working under our experienced parts advisors to pick parts for customers & internal orders. In addition, deliver first class customer service, overall organisational, and stocking duties.

Charlies Ag & Turf Limited is part of the Charlies Stores Group which was established over 40 years ago and is a leading Agricultural / Horticultural Machinery dealer. We supply an extensive range of Agricultural and Groundcare Machinery across Shropshire and Mid Wales. Our main franchises are John Deere Ag & Turf Machinery, Kramer, Ktwo, Pottinger, Yamaha, Avant, Grillo, Marshall, Fleming plus many other leading brands. We also stock a range of parts from Stihl, Kramp and many more brands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures parts orders are ready for customer collection or packaged for courier/postal delivery.
• Receive and check incoming deliveries, accurately booking stock onto the system, locating it in the warehouse or forwarding for customer or internal orders.
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift.
• Assist in maintaining clean and tidy warehouse.
• Maintain control of stock levels and accuracy of stock.
• Ensure relevant administration tasks are completed as required.
• Showroom stock rotation & seasonal displays.

What We’re looking for:

• Experience in a warehouse environment or similar is preferred.
• Ability to use standard computer applications – experience of IBCOS Gold would be an advantage, training will be provided.
• Forklift license would be advantageous, training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
