Job summary

Adecco in Rochester is seeking a Parts Advisor to support the busy automotive operation. The role focuses on stock control, parts sourcing and efficient workshop support on a temp-to-perm basis.

You will work closely with the Parts Manager, maintain stock levels, process orders, ensure timely parts delivery and accurate records, and provide customer service to internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in parts, stock control or warehouse environment preferred.
• Trainee candidates welcome.
• Enjoys using Excel and computers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain stock levels within the workshop.
• Book goods into the system accurately.
• Identify and source vehicle parts.
• Order parts from suppliers and liaise with internal teams.
• Conduct regular stock checks and audits.
• Respond to emails and telephone enquiries.
• Update records on internal systems.
• Ensure parts are supplied to the workshop on time.
• Support the wider team with additional duties.

We are currently recruiting for a Parts Advisor to join a busy and well-established automotive operation in Rochester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that plays a key role within the UK's automotive supply chain, supporting the used vehicle sector.

The Role

Working closely with the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the parts department, ensuring vehicle parts are available when needed and helping maintain efficient workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining stock levels within the workshop
• Booking goods into the system accurately
• Identifying and sourcing vehicle parts
• Ordering parts from suppliers and liaising with internal teams
• Conducting regular stock checks and inventory audits
• Responding to emails, telephone enquiries and general administration tasks
• Updating and maintaining accurate records on internal systems
• Ensuring parts are supplied to the workshop efficiently and on time
• Supporting the wider team with additional duties as required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a parts, stock control or warehouse environment would be advantageous
• Trainee candidates with a genuine interest in the automotive industry are encouraged to apply
• Automotive knowledge is beneficial but not essential
• Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Good numerical and literacy abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
