Job summary

Snows Group, based in Portsmouth, is seeking a Parts Advisor for the BMW team to support our Parts Department and strengthen customer service levels.

The role involves handling parts enquiries, processing orders, maintaining stock accuracy, and ensuring timely dispatch. You will work in a fast-paced automotive retail environment with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification or proven experience of working with vehicle parts.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Satisfy customer requirements regarding parts and increase department business through direct selling.
• Deal with customer enquiries in a prompt and courteous manner, explaining product benefits and trading terms.
• Ensure accurate ordering, location, and stock checks of parts; report discrepancies to the Service Manager.
• Handle returns, warranty items and paperwork for credit where applicable.
• Load, pack, and dispatch parts via van delivery or postal services; maintain records.

We are currently on the lookout for a Parts Advisor to join our BMW, team at Snows Group based in Portsmouth.

Your day

The Parts Advisor role is to satisfy all customer requirements regarding parts and increase all aspects of the parts department's business through structured direct selling.

Your day will include:

• Ensuring a prompt and courteous manner when dealing with customer enquiries, selling the benefits of our products and services, adhering to all trading terms, discounts, and procedures for handling payment for parts.
• Ensure accurate ordering, checking and location of all parts, reporting stock discrepancies and damage to the Service Manager.
• Ensure the safe return of old exchange units and warranty items to the Parts Department, clean and drained of fluids. Make ready for credit return including all necessary paperwork.
• Ensure that all chargeable cases are handled correctly to avoid damage and are returned in a timely manner.
• Pack and load parts correctly to avoid damage or loss, for dispatch to customers via van delivery or postal/carrier services.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all internal and external customers updating prospect records as necessary.

• Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.
• Able to assimilate information quickly and provide considered responses.
• Attention to detail and maintains good, accurate quality of work.
• Technical Qualification or proven experience of working with vehicle parts.
• Abe to communicate effectively with team, manage external relationships and customer relationships.
• PC and web literate.

Hours of work:

Week1 Monday-Friday 7am-5pm (60 mins for lunch) Week2 Monday-Friday 8am-6pm (60 mins for lunch)
