Job summary

Wessex Garages in the United Kingdom is seeking a Parts Advisor and Driver to join our friendly team. Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will identify and supply the correct parts, assist workshop technicians, handle customer enquiries, and ensure accurate processing of orders and deliveries.

You must hold a full, clean UK driving licence, be well organised, reliable and able to work effectively with colleagues in a busy automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive parts is beneficial.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

The role

We are looking for a dedicated Parts Advisor and Driver to join our small, dynamic team. Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring customers and Technicians have the right parts exactly when they need them.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to workshop Technicians and retail customers by identifying and supplying the correct parts.
• Handle customer enquiries professionally, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Process parts orders, quotations, and sales accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver and collect parts to and from customers, suppliers, and company sites as required.
• Work closely with the Parts team to ensure stock availability and seamless day-to-day operations.
• Receive, check, and organise stock deliveries, ensuring parts are stored correctly and accurately recorded.
• Assist with stock control activities, including stock checks and inventory management.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the Parts Department and delivery vehicle.
• Develop a good understanding of customer requirements and recommend suitable products and services.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, professionally, and within agreed timescales.
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Be organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Have a positive, flexible approach to work and be willing to support colleagues where needed.
• Be comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving vehicle parts.
• Be confident using computer systems and handling administrative tasks accurately.
• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
