Job summary

Right2Work is seeking a committed Job Coach to join our Supported Internship team based in Carlisle and surrounding areas across Cumberland. This role supports young adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism to identify suitable work placements and develop employability skills.

The role begins with six weeks of classroom-based sessions, then transitions to on-site job coaching, building employer relationships, and travel/interview support. A driving licence and Enhanced DBS are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, employability, or support work is desirable but not essential.
• Full Driving licence and use of a vehicle for work.
• Enhanced DBS required for each successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Support interns in developing employability and independence skills.
• Deliver classroom-based sessions during the initial programme phase.
• Provide in-work support and job coaching in placement settings.
• Liaise with employers and support networks to ensure meaningful placements.
• Update learner records and contribute to reviews and assessments.
• Promote confidence and long-term employment outcomes.
