Job summary

Manor Green School's Careers and Enterprise team seeks a proactive colleague to help young people with learning difficulties access supported internships and placements, developing independence and future work readiness.

You will engage employers, coordinate placements, and ensure health and safety, safeguarding and monitoring processes are in place; a car and business insurance are required to enable travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Meet the person specification.
• Experience and/or keen interest in the subject matter.
• Good communication skills.
• Good levels of literacy & numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with learning difficulties to engage with supported internships and work placements.
• Engage with employers to source and set up placements while ensuring health and safety, safeguarding and monitoring processes.
• Assist with monitoring and progression planning for students.
• Travel between sites may be required; a car and business insurance are needed.

Job description

Workingwith our Careers and Enterprise team you will provide support to enable youngpeople with learning difficulties and other disabilities to successfully engagewith supported internships, work placements, carry out tasks at work anddevelop their independence and ability to progress to work in the future.

The role also includes engaging with andsupporting employers to source and set up new placements and ensure thatappropriate health and safety, safe guarding and monitoring processes are inplace.

You must be able to engage with potentialemployers and secure work opportunities for students. You will need a car andbusiness insurance.
