Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Part-time HR Generalist to support a small UK-based team. You will handle employee queries, payroll, pensions, and HR administration with a hands-on, proactive approach. The role starts at 10–20 hours per week, with potential to move to full-time as needs evolve.

You will work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and ensure compliance with UK employment law. Rippling experience is a plus in this small business environment.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on HR Generalist experience in fast-paced environments.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
• Experience processing payroll and administering pensions and benefits.
• Ability to advise employees and managers with clear, practical guidance.
• Exposure to HRIS systems; Rippling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Employee support: be the first point of contact for HR queries and guidance.
• Employee relations: handle sensitive cases with discretion and professionalism.
• Payroll: coordinate and process payroll accurately and on time.
• Pensions and benefits: manage administration and inquiries.
• HR administration: maintain accurate employee records and docs.
• Compliance: support adherence to UK employment laws and HR policies.
• HR systems: use HR tech to manage data; Rippling experience advantageous.
